Through-hike the A.T. in 2012? Maybe or Maybe Not

Either way hiking is a great way to have fun and increase your overall fitness level.  What, you don't believe that walking up, over and around stuff can do that? Put on a 20-30 pound pack and go for a 1-3 hour hike around Sleeping Giant or some other well marked trail.  Functional-Hell Yes! You know how many single leg squats or balancing acts I did while hiking this summer? Thousands of functional movements!
