Sunday June 6, 2010 [Amnesty Sunday]
This is my favorite time of the year. The weather is great and the sun is shinning. There are so many options to choose from. ECC had athletes displaying "elitness" all over the place this weekend. We had athletes @ the New Haven Warriors Rugby game, Run for the Cure 5k, and the Rev 3 Half Ironman Triathlon just to name a few. Let's not forget those ECC'ers who were WODing at the box with the "6 Max Effort" on Saturday and Amnesty on Sunday.
Nice Effort to Bobby, Rachel, Lindsay for running the "Race for the Cure 5K" yesterday. Bobby, Rachel and Lindsay would like to thank everyone for their generous donations. The link on our ECC website raised $320.00 towards Breast Cancer research. I can't tell you how proud I am to have this type of participation. There are plenty of obligations you all have for your dollars, so thank you!
Good Game and High 5's to the ECC athletes that play for the New Haven Warriors Rugby Team (Mich, Brian, Nick, Jim)
Good Luck to Woody who is competing in the REV 3 Half Ironman Distance Triathlon (swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 miles and run 13.1 miles)
Doug from Summerton Farms will be in the box Sunday at 9:00am (ish).
Bobby would like to send out another Big Thank You to Xman, Big Pete, Rachel, Jim and Baby Mark for the help on Friday relocating some of the equipment, weights, etc. I appreciated all of the help!
REMEMBER:We start our new hours this week. Be sure to check the Schedule link at the top of the page for those updated classes and times.
ALSO: ECC will be CLOSED Sunday June 20th, 2010 for the Branford Road Race. This is a 5 mile race on Father's Day, in Branford, obviously. Let's roll deep. This is a fun race and we would love to see everyone there. Let's get an idea of who is planning on going, and we can make plans to round up for breakfast / lunch afterwards. This race also provides a meal ticket for all the runners, which is FREE. At a minimum we can eat our free grub together under the ECC / ECE tent afterwards.
