Would you buy a cow from a pork farmer? Would you listen to a doctor who smokes, tell you about healthy living? I sometimes feel that the "fitness industry" operates like this. Lots of misinformation distributed and unsafe programming practices are utilized. As an athlete, I always look for current trends in related research (scientific data). As a coach, I apply these concepts based on the current needs of my athletes. That is how it works. That is what makes CrossFit unique. We are based on scientific research, best practices, and the laws of nature. I digress....
Elm City CrossFit is made up of eclectic group of coaches. We have coached and/or competed in a wide range of sporting activities such as: rugby, football, bodybuilding, swimming, running, ultra-running, triathlon and of course CrossFit. Just to name a few.
We are athletes and coaches that compete regularly with the intentions of reaching new heights and pushing the threshold. Why is that important? Elm City CrossFit is there, still doing it and doing it well in the field of competition.Elm City CrossFit is not a wolf in sheep's clothing.

A WOLF found great difficulty in getting at the sheep owing to the vigilance of the shepherd and his dogs. But one day it found the skin of a sheep that had been flayed and thrown aside, so it put it on over its own pelt and strolled down among the sheep. The Lamb that belonged to the sheep, whose skin the Wolf was wearing, began to follow the Wolf in the Sheep’s clothing; so, leading the Lamb a little apart, he soon made a meal off her, and for some time he succeeded in deceiving the sheep, and enjoying hearty meals.
